sunny and cool

It was sunny and cool, and I went for a jog. I was slow and stiff; I felt my hips grind and squeak in their sockets. A leaf blew into my face. There was a moment when I thought I saw someone bent over from fentanyl, but he stood up, and he was a child; his mom walked behind him, smoking a big vape.

I walked up a hill to take a photo of the skyline, and when I saw my face in the dark of my phone, the light fell on my face in such a way that I saw myself two decades from now. I took some photos, called my friend, and picked up a pie.
